Digital X-Ray with DXD Analysis
Advanced analysis turns digital X-ray images into objective, measurable findings.
Digital X-Ray provides detailed images that help RES providers evaluate the spine following an auto accident. At RES, those images can be taken a step further using specialized DXD analysis software.
DXD analyzes the images captured by our digital X-ray system, providing objective, ratable measurements and detailed reporting that can help identify ligament instability and other accident-related findings, support diagnosis and guide your care.
How Digital X-Ray with DXD works
RES uses a digital radiography (DR) X-ray system to capture four images of the spine in specific positions. Those images are then entered into the DXD software for advanced analysis. Rather than relying on visual interpretation alone, DXD measures relationships between the vertebrae to identify and document areas of potential abnormal movement or instability.
Turning images into measurable findings
Ligament injuries can affect the stability of the spine and how individual vertebrae move in relation to one another. DXD analysis helps quantify these changes, giving providers objective information to consider alongside your symptoms, physical examination and other diagnostic findings.
The analysis provides:
- Precise measurements of vertebral movement
- Evaluation of potential ligament instability
- Annotated images that highlight findings
- Objective data to support diagnosis and treatment planning
- Detailed reporting for medical documentation
Objective information that supports your care
DXD reporting gives your RES provider additional information to help understand your injury and determine appropriate next steps. These findings can also be shared with chiropractors, physical therapists, primary care providers and other healthcare professionals involved in your treatment, helping support a coordinated approach to your care. For patients involved in a no-fault or personal injury case, the resulting report can also provide detailed, objective medical documentation of accident-related findings.
By combining digital imaging with specialized DXD analysis, RES can get more information from your X-rays than images alone provide, helping our medical providers better understand, document and treat auto accident-related injuries.
