Dr. Mikhail Strut has cured chronic pain conditions for thousands of Buffalo patients, with over 80 percent of patients obtaining full relief from their chronic pain and over 90 percent finding at least partial relief.

Dr. Strut is active in the Hackett Hemwall Patterson Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping people around the world, who otherwise would be unable to afford prolotherapy, gain access to this incredible treatment. Each year, this foundation provides free health care to thousands of patients.

Dr. Strut works directly with each patient at our office to individually address their specific symptoms. Always on top of the industry’s advancements and learning new disciplines, Dr. Strut stays on the cutting edge of ligament and tendon repair and pain management. He is the first doctor in Buffalo to use Musculoskeletal Ultrasound to diagnose the issue, as well as guide prolotherapy. This innovative process helps to accurately identify, diagnose, and treat the conditions that cause chronic pain.

John Bauers, MD
JOHN BAUERS, MD

Dr. Bauers has been involved in clinical practice and the management of health care delivery systems for over 40 years. His clinical focus has been adult primary care as a board-certified Internist. He has practiced in multiple clinical settings, including ambulatory office-based practice, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, inpatient hospital care, and correctional facilities. He has been on the clinical faculty of the Medical and Pharmacology schools at the University of Buffalo. He has been working full time with RES Physical Medicine and Rehab since January 2020.

Since 2003, Dr. Bauers has pursued the study of the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health and well-being. These studies include training as a Master Practitioner of Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. For over 15 years he has been traveling regularly to Hawaii to learn ancient Hawaiian spiritual and healing practices.

My goal is to help them find their way through the complex process of regaining physical, mental, and emotional health and restoring a satisfactory level of function and life experience. We can accomplish this by the thoughtful and coordinated use of physical modes of treatment, interventional therapies such as injections, and the safe and appropriate use of medicines. Andrew P Booth, PA

Andrew Booth is a Certified Physician Assistant with 6 years of diverse clinical experience in the fields of Physiatry, Orthopedic Surgery, and Emergency Medicine. His approach is to allow patients to be a part of the decision making process. He takes time with each individual patient so they are able to understand their condition and be aware of their options, along with the pros and cons of each. He also has a special interest in injection therapy. When out of the office his interests include hiking, biking, snowboarding, and the Buffalo Bills.

Jennifer Muscarella, PA
JENNIFER MUSCARELLA, PA

Jennifer is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 20 years of experience, much of which has been dedicated to performing interventional radiology procedures. She has a strong focus on pain management and believes in empowering patients to take an active role in their own care. Jennifer takes time to discuss various treatment modalities, guiding patients along their individual paths to improved health and quality of life.
She is nationally certified through the NCCPA and licensed in New York State. In addition, she maintains compliance with NYS infection control requirements and holds certifications in BLS and ACLS. Jennifer is skilled in performing acoustic wave therapy, cryotherapy, trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks, and cortisone injections.

Outside of her professional role, Jennifer prioritizes her family and enjoys spending time outdoors. She is also an avid supporter of the Buffalo Bills.

Being a nationally board certified PA since 2011, the majority of my career has been spent in the emergency department or urgent care setting (with the exception of a few years of primary care & orthopedics). I hope to bring the physical and mental tools I’ve learned along the way to my patients in order to optimize their healing journey. Outside of work, you can find me riding my electric unicycle, creating large art installations, or drawing chalk murals on my driveway!

Brice is a dedicated professional with a passion for healthcare and a knack for pioneering new initiatives. Since 2019, he has been the sole x-ray technologist at RES Physical Medicine and Rehab, where he established and spearheaded the radiology department. With steadfast proficiency, Brice brings a wealth of expertise to his role, ensuring accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.

Prior to his career in healthcare, Brice served in the United States Navy, honing his skills in leadership, organization and attention to detail. This military background instilled in him a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence that he carries into every aspect of his life.

Outside of work, Brice finds joy and fulfillment in family life. With three daughters keeping him and his wife on their toes, he embraces the chaos and cherishes the moments spent together. Brice relishes any opportunity to breathe in the fresh air and soak up the beauty of nature, often indulging his love for golf whenever time permits. With a diverse range of experiences and a genuine passion for his work and family, Brice embodies the essence of a well-rounded individual dedicated to making a positive impact in both his professional and personal spheres.

Greg Tramont, Chief Operating Officer

Greg brings over two decades of experience in operational and financial leadership, playing a key role in ensuring that the day-to-day functions of RES Physical Medicine and Rehab run smoothly and efficiently. With a results-driven approach, he focuses on building systems and teams that support high-quality patient care across the practice.

His career has been shaped by years of leadership within family-owned small businesses throughout Western New York, where he developed a strong foundation in management, organization, and team building. Known for his ability to create responsive, collaborative work environments, Greg is respected for his clear communication and strategic oversight.

Greg earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the State University of New York Empire State College. Born and raised just a few miles from the practice, he continues to live in and contribute to the local community he’s proud to call home.

Outside of work, Greg enjoys golfing, boating, and skiing. He is the current President of the Eastern Hills Sunrise Rotary and has been an active member for over 20 years. He lives in Western New York with his wife Janine, their daughter Sophia, and their two labs—Zuzu and Sugar.

From humble beginnings at the front desk to my current role as Clinical Director, my journey at RES Physical Medicine and Rehab has been one of growth, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in patient care. Since joining this esteemed practice in 2011, I’ve worn many hats, each experience shaping me into the healthcare professional I am today. Eager to expand my knowledge and skills, I took on various roles throughout the office, including administrative tasks, assisting physicians, and coordinating patient care. Armed with clinical expertise and a heart for advocacy, I continued to serve our patients with dedication and compassion. Driven by a desire to address the broader social factors influencing health outcomes, I pursued a Master’s in Social Work (MSW), merging my clinical background with a deep understanding of social determinants of health. Today, as Clinical Director, I am privileged to lead a team of exceptional healthcare professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive care to our patients. Together, we strive to create a supportive and compassionate environment where every individual feels heard, respected, and empowered on their healthcare journey.

Karlie Routledge, Director of Marketing

Karlie is a driven and relationship-focused professional with a deep-rooted passion for strategic marketing and business development. As Director of Marketing & Business Development at RES Physical Medicine and Rehab, she leads initiatives that strengthen connections with local attorneys and medical providers—building a trusted referral network that supports optimal patient care and fosters collaboration between the clinical team and the broader community.

With over a decade of experience in marketing and advertising, Karlie brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to her role. Her career spans both agency and in-house settings, where she has held leadership and account management positions and earned a reputation for developing and sustaining long-term, high-impact business relationships.

Karlie is a proud graduate of the University at Buffalo, where she earned her degree in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing. Outside of work, Karlie enjoys spending time on the golf course, hiking scenic trails with her golden retriever, and working on home renovation projects.

Jenna is a detail-oriented and solution-focused professional who has built her career at RES Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. As Project Manager, she oversees a wide range of operational and administrative initiatives that support providers, staff, and patients. From streamlining EHR workflows to coordinating practice-wide projects and improving daily operations, she ensures that the RES team runs smoothly and efficiently.

With several years of experience in medical administration and practice management, Jenna brings a unique perspective shaped by her journey from receptionist to Project Manager. Her expertise includes process development, project planning, and staff coordination, with a particular focus on enhancing efficiency and creating positive patient experiences. She is known for her strong organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to bring structure to complex projects while fostering collaboration across teams.

Outside of work, Jenna enjoys sailing and competing in regattas, traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family. She values maintaining a strong work-life balance while contributing to the growth of a practice that feels like family.
