JOHN BAUERS, MD
JOHN BAUERS, MD

Dr. Bauers has been involved in clinical practice and the management of health care delivery systems for over 40 years. His clinical focus has been adult primary care as a board-certified Internist. He has practiced in multiple clinical settings, including ambulatory office-based practice, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, inpatient hospital care, and correctional facilities. He has been on the clinical faculty of the Medical and Pharmacology schools at the University of Buffalo. He has been working full time with RES Physical Medicine and Rehab since January 2020.

Since 2003, Dr. Bauers has pursued the study of the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health and well-being. These studies include training as a Master Practitioner of Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. For over 15 years he has been traveling regularly to Hawaii to learn ancient Hawaiian spiritual and healing practices.

My goal is to help them find their way through the complex process of regaining physical, mental, and emotional health and restoring a satisfactory level of function and life experience. We can accomplish this by the thoughtful and coordinated use of physical modes of treatment, interventional therapies such as injections, and the safe and appropriate use of medicines.   • Worked at RES since May 2017 – prior to that she worked in an Urgent Care and Family Practice setting
  • From 1996-2005, Karen worked as a Registered Nurse in Surgery in the ICU at Strong Memorial (Rochester, NY), Fletcher Allen Medical Center (Burlington, VT), and RPCI and Hospice here in Buffalo
  • Karen performs Cryotherapy, Trigger Point Injections, Preoperative Clearance, and Medicine Management at RES
  • Karen has 26 years experience working in Health Care and working with underserved populations
REEMA BAWAB, PA

Reema Bawab is a Certified Physician Assistant with 10 years of experience mostly consisting of General Orthopedics and Surgery. She has been working with RES since September of 2021. She is focused on ensuring that patients understand their conditions and that their concerns are heard and are part of the decision making process in terms of their care.

ANDREW P BOOTH, PA

Andrew Booth is a Certified Physician Assistant with 6 years of diverse clinical experience in the fields of Physiatry, Orthopedic Surgery, and Emergency Medicine. His approach is to allow patients to be a part of the decision making process. He takes time with each individual patient so they are able to understand their condition and be aware of their options, along with the pros and cons of each. He also has a special interest in injection therapy. When out of the office his interests include hiking, biking, snowboarding, and the Buffalo Bills.

“I am a board-certified physician assistant with over 20 years’ experience. I’ve spent a large portion of my career performing interventional radiology procedures. I embrace pain management and I believe patients deserve to be involved in their own care. I love to discuss various modalities to help guide their paths. I am NYS board certified and hold a national certification with NCCPA. I am compliant with NYS infection control training, BLS and ACLS certifications. I am able to perform acoustic wave therapy, cryotherapy, trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks as well as cortisone injections. Outside of work, my family is my main priority. I enjoy all outdoor activities and of course, the Buffalo Bills!”
